Sharad Shetty

Sharad Shetty (1954–2003) was an Indian mobster based in Dubai. He was one of Dawood Ibrahim’s top aides and was known to control most of the cricket betting racket in the Indian sub-continent. He belonged to the powerful Bunt community of South Canara district of Karnataka. Sharad Shetty was shot dead at The India club in Oud Metha, Dubai by rival Chhota Rajan henchmen on 19 January 2003. Four gangsters from the Chhota Rajan gang (Karan Singh Mansingh, Manoj Mudanna Kotian, Amar Bahadur Ram and Vimal Kumar Ram) were executed by the UAE authorities as punishment for Shetty's assassination.[1]
